Due to continued growth and expansion, our client, a well-established, multi-office accountancy practice, is looking to recruit a qualified Manager/Senior Manager for its office in Bicester. This is a fantastic firm that has a focus upon the well-being and development of its employees. Candidates who can review work and support the portfolio owners, would be of interest, as would a candidate at more Senior Manager level who can manage a portfolio going forward.

As Manager/Senior Manager, you will be:

• Liaising with clients (individuals and businesses) and providing financial information and advice
• Managing/supporting a portfolio of clients
• Producing year-end accounts
• Completing self-assessments and corporate tax returns
• Maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information for small businesses (accountancy)
• Planning jobs for both self and others
• Reviewing the work of junior colleagues and supporting them through their studies / apprenticeship

You will need to possess the following attributes:

• Qualified ACCA / ACA or similar
• Demonstrated financial management experience and legislative compliance with the ability to interpret relevant legislation to clients.
• Previous experience of working with clients in a busy accountancy practice.
• Good knowledge of accounting systems e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, Xero.

• Ability to deliver a high quality accountancy service to clients with excellent technical knowledge
• Strong but empathic communication skills at all levels and with both clients and colleagues.
• Ideally someone who likes to network and gain new business but is also comfortable working independently and without input from others.
• Mobile and flexible to work in other Company offices and clients sites when applicable.
• Good IT skills with the ability to work without close supervision.
• A people person who is a team player and willing to help at whatever level.
