This is an opportunity for a CCAB Qualified candidate to join an expanding IT business in the role of Group Financial Controller, and play an active part in the leadership of the company. The successful candidate will in time grow into a more senior position, so career prospects and progression are very good. Previous experience within software/IT would be advantageous. The role requires a "hands on" accountant who can also be strategic and think conceptually. An enthusiastic approach, able to work well under pressure and being the trusted advisor to the Board.
As part of a small finance team the role is extremely varied with selected duties as below:
- Managing the Accounts Assistant
- Member of the Leadership Team
- Payroll
- HMRC (Payroll and VAT)
- All accounting functions
- Support of our CRM/ERP system (Netsuite)
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Cashflow management
- Cost Management
- Supporting the Sales Team and other teams within the business
- Future strategy recommendations
Essential
- Qualified Accountant
- Excellent documentation skills
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Agility in switching between diverse tasks in any area of the business
- Happy to work across the spectrum from basic accounting data entry to producing management and financial accounts
- Able to quickly understand CRM/ERP systems beyond basic data entry
- Ability to grow into senior finance role
- Ability to articulate financial concepts to non-financial minds
- Proven problem-solving skills
Desirable
- An understanding of the cloud and storage software market
- Backgrand in IT services/SaaS
- Knowledge of Netsuite
