We are looking for a Tax Director to join our growing practice client, with over 350 people across the group.
Key criteria are:
- Ideally a qualified Chartered or Certified accountant, and a Chartered Tax Adviser
- Must have solid Post Qualification experience
- Must have private client and OMB tax experience.
- Salary £80- £110k pa.
JOB DESCRIPTION - Tax Director
This will be working from our client's office in Maidenhead but home working can be an option part of the time
Reporting to the Tax Partner directly and other partners.
Job Purpose Summary
- Managing the tax team of Tax Manager, 5 CTA’s, and 3 ATT trainees
- Overseeing the profitable provision of the Firm’s tax compliance and advisory service
- Growing the Firm’s client base
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Overseeing the Tax compliance and advisory functions
- Managing a client portfolio and providing a high quality service to clients
- Providing high level and detailed tax advice to clients on a wide range of matters typically including;
- OMB tax planning
- Business sale and acquisition and other transactional matters CGT and IHT
- Employment related securities
- Non-resident and non domiciled tax planning/ advice
- Tax enquiry work
- Review of Self Assessment tax returns, self employed accounts and rental accounts
- Ensuring compliance with the Firm’s published policies and procedures
Employer expectation
- The candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to establish client confidence and grow the tax practice
- The candidate will be self-motivated, energetic and able to work independently to meet client and statutory deadlines
