Business Development Executive

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, growing IT business which has a track record of developing and nurturing existing accounts and is now looking to expand its offering to an increasing number of new clients. Outstanding career prospects are available for a dedicated enthusiastic candidate. With the benefit of a structured training academy, the holder of this position will progress to client visits and face to face selling within 12 -18 months.

The candidate will be working towards clearly defined company-wide core objectives & KPIs.

Our client exists to provide enterprise customers with total peace of mind by ensuring data is properly secured and protected. The successful candidate will have the persistence and tenacity to reach the decision-makers of new potential customers and engage with them to share the value proposition and promote the range of products available, in conjunction with colleagues. The role will require the ability to listen to customer needs, a meticulous approach to information-gathering, and the enthusiasm to promote company events.

More important than a knowledge of IT services will be the enthusiasm to pick up the phone and speak to relevant contacts, details of which will be provided.

Candidates need to be able to:

  • Make positive cold telephone calls, and write grammatically clear emails
  • Use common IT packages eg Microsoft Office, Netsuite and Social Media tools
  • Remain focussed and follow instruction
  • Be able to withstand sales rejection
  • Demonstrate great verbal communication skills - listening, empathy and asking the right questions.

Full training will be provided, and the position is bonusable with realistic, achievable targets being set. Base Salary guide is c£26K with uncapped OTE to £40K in the first year.
